Dark matter is thought as a form of a hypothetical matter and it is considered that about 85% of our visible universe is composed with dark matter. More interesting fact is that the Quarter of the total energy density of universe is come from dark matter.
Dark matter may be baryonic and non-baryonic. But most of the form of dark matter is non-baryonic in nasture. Dark matter is named as following the phenomena that it is not observable within the electromagnetic radiation or in light.
